The Mandalorian Wars erupted after two decades of relative peace following the Great Sith War. The conflict was set in motion by the ambitious Mandalore the Ultimate, who reconsolidated the Mandalorian clans under the Neo-Crusader banner.
Due to contradictory historical accounts from the period, the exact date of the war's beginning would remain a point of contention among historians. The wars could be said to have begun in the year 3,976 BBY, as it marked the start of Mandalorian aggression along the Outer Rim.
The first skirmishes between the Mandalorian and Republic fleets occurred as early as 3,965 BBY, but many published histories tend to emphasize the time period after the Mandalorians invaded the Galactic Republic proper, circa 3,963 BBY. After the invasion, the Republic Military and a faction of the Jedi Order entered the war. The war concluded in 3,960 BBY with the Republic victory at Malachor V.

The Jedi Civil War, also known as the Second Sith War, the Old Republic Insurrection, and by the Mandalorians as the War of the Star Forge, was a devastating conflict that began when the Jedi Knight Revan, who had led the forces of the Galactic Republic to victory in the Mandalorian Wars, founded his own Sith Empire and declared himself the Dark Lord of the Sith. The war began when he, along with his friend and apprentice Darth Malak, led an invasion of the Galactic Republic in the year 3,959 BBY. With the aid of veterans from the Mandalorian Wars and a host of Dark Jedi converts that had served with them, the former Jedi hoped to take over the Republic in anticipation of a greater threat posed by a Sith Empire that lurked within the Unknown Regions of the galaxy.
During the war, Darth Revan brought the Republic to its knees and nearly succeeded in conquering it, however, a trap set by the Jedi and unwittingly abetted by Malak left him comatose, with his mind nearly destroyed. Barely alive, he was taken from the wreckage by the Jedi Knight Bastila Shan, whose skills in battle meditation and the Force had allowed the mission to happen. Taken to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, Revan was healed by the Jedi Council and reprogrammed to believe that he was an agent loyal to the Republic. Revan was assigned under the command of Shan, who was then placed aboard the Endar Spire. In 3,956 BBY, with the intention of drawing out Revan's fragmented memories of the Star Forge, the vast space station that was the source of the seemingly endless resources of the Sith, he was taken to the ecumenopolis of Taris where a Sith fleet under the direct command of Malak was waiting in ambush.
Eventually escaping from Taris, Revan, along with Shan, the Republic commander Carth Onasi, and several others, fled to the Dantooine Academy, where the Jedi Masters there retrained him. After several weeks, the Dantooine Council sent him and the crew of the Ebon Hawk back out into the wider galaxy to track down the Star Forge's location, at the heart of the ancient Infinite Empire of the Rakata. Later, after a number of ancient Star Maps had been uncovered, Malak led an attack against the Enclave, devastating it and further crippling the Jedi Order. After finding the last Star Map and, from it, deducing the location of the Rakatan homeworld, Revan, the Jedi, and the Republic launched the war's final battle. Revan vanquished Malak aboard the Star Forge, and the Republic successfully routed the Sith forces. With Malak dead, the Star Forge destroyed, and the Sith fleet scattered and defeated, the long and costly war came to an end.

The First Jedi Purge took place some time after the Battle of Rakata Prime, and the end of the Jedi Civil War, from 3,954 BBY until 3,951 BBY. This purge saw nearly the entire Jedi Order disappear from the galaxy; the Order publicly disbanded and most of the survivors were slain by the Sith.
During the Sith Civil War, circa 3,954 BBY, Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion took command of the remnants of Revan's Sith Empire. After the exile of Traya, Sion utilized his Sith Assassins to assassinate Jedi, while Nihilus would consume the life of an entire planet in search of the Jedi. Nihilus's final attack was on the Miraluka world of Katarr; nearly all of the remaining hundred Jedi died at a meeting that was being held on the planet.
Despite the Sith's success against the Jedi, the purge was finally brought to an end by Meetra Surik, who not only trained a new generation of Jedi, but also personally killed all three leaders of the Sith Triumvirate in combat. After the conclusion of the purge, the Jedi Surik trained proved essential to the Order's revival.

The Great Galactic War, known as the Great War during the conflict and in the years afterward, was a war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic between 3,681 BBY and 3,653 BBY, lasting for a total of 28 years. Also known as the Republic–Sith War, the conflict was ultimately the culmination of a 1300-year grudge held by survivors of the old Sith Empire against the Republic for their defeat in the Great Hyperspace War.
The war would cost countless lives and devastate worlds from the Core to the Rim, as well as having dramatic galactic consequences otherwise. The Republic economy was shattered and roughly half the galaxy would end up under Sith dominion, and the Jedi Order would withdraw from the galactic capital to establish a new home on their ancient homeworld.
But it would not ultimately be conclusive. While a strategic defeat for the Republic, the end of the war left both powers standing, engaged in an undeclared conflict for supremacy on numerous disputed worlds.

The Attack on Dantooine was a massive planetary bombardment conducted in 3,956 BBY by the Sith fleets of Darth Malak during the Jedi Civil War. The Jedi Enclave on Dantooine was believed to have been sufficiently fortified and too well-defended to invite an attack by the marauding Sith in that era; Malak and commander of Sith forces Saul Karath proved the Jedi Masters there wrong by conducting a highly effective bombardment of the planet's surface, destroying the Enclave and killing a number of high-ranking Jedi. Afterwards, a brutal large-scale subjugation of Dantooine's population was carried out, lasting for several years.
The Jedi Council on Dantooine was aware of the attack thanks to the Force, but was unable to do anything about it save evacuate as they had no protection from an orbital bombardment. Their efforts proved to be unsuccessful, as only a small amount of the Jedi stationed on Dantooine were able to evacuate. However, thanks to their precognition of the attack, many high ranking members of the Jedi Council were able to escape, such as Master Vandar Tokare and Master Vrook Lamar.
Dantooine suffered greatly under the yoke of the Sith, after the location of the Jedi Enclave was exposed and the bombardment completed. Sith troops invaded and occupied the world, with many innocent settlers arrested and executed for no reason whatsoever. After the Sith were driven off some time before 3,951 BBY, a sort of selective recollection gradually took hold amongst the populace, with many of them growing to despise the Jedi and holding them responsible for Dantooine's woes—despite much of the good wrought by the academy for decades previous.
While this event had a drastic impact on the Dantooine settlers, leaving them completely unprotected—which later led to the formation of Khoonda—the consequences for the Jedi Order itself were less significant. The Jedi that were vital for the Republic's ultimate victory in the Jedi Civil War—namely Revan, Bastila Shan, Juhani, and Jolee Bindo—were not on Dantooine during the strike, busy searching for Rakatan Star Maps, and the Council—Masters Dorak, Vrook Lamar, Zhar Lestin, and Vandar Tokare—survived the attack. Moreover, most of the Jedi historical materials, including holocrons, had been evacuated to Telos IV by Atris earlier in case of an attack. Nevertheless, the deaths of much of the Jedi population of the Enclave weakened the Order and foreshadowed the Jedi purge that was to follow the Jedi Civil War.

The Battle of Dantooine, also known as the Battle of Khoonda, was a local conflict that followed the catastrophic Jedi Civil War in 3,951 BBY and was a major event during the First Jedi Purge.
The main target was Khoonda, site of the local government established after the destruction of the Jedi Enclave. It was particularly aimed at Administrator Terena Adare, the only person on Dantooine capable of uniting the surviving farmers. Territories outside the Khoonda Plains were inhabited by salvagers, who sought for Jedi relics in the ruined Enclave, and mercenaries of the Exchange led by Azkul, who participated in the Jedi Civil War under Darth Malak's command.

The Sith Civil War was a conflict that wracked the remains of the Sith Empire in the wake of the Jedi Civil War. Following the death of Darth Malak during the Battle of Rakata Prime, several of the Sith Lords who had followed Darth Revan and Malak during the war attempted to take what scraps they could from the ruins of the Sith Empire. Declaring themselves sovereign warlords, they fractured the empire into a number of small, hotly-contested kingdoms.
During the height of the Sith Civil War, many of the Sith warlords united under Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, but upon their deaths, the Civil War escalated once more. By 3,950 BBY, the remnants of the Sith Empire disintegrated entirely due to the constant infighting. As a result, the Galactic Republic was able to conquer Sith space, and reclaim worlds that had been under Sith control since the Great Sith War.
