Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio got his stage name, Bad bunny from wearing a bunny costume on easter. He has a picture of himself in the costume with an angry expression

Following the release of his breakthrough single "Soy Peor" in late 2016, he rose to stardom after collaborating with Cardi B and Drake on the singles "I Like It" and "Mia", which charted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number one and number three.

Bad Bunny appeared in small shows in San Juan and published videos of himself singing on Instagram. He also shared songs on his Soundcloud account, where he got success and very fast support. His song "Diles" from SoundCloud caught the attention of DJ Luian who signed him to his record label.

Bad Bunny released his debut studio album, named 'X 100PRR'.

Bad Bunny won artist of the year, the night’s top honor, as well as top Latin album for “X 100PRE” and songwriter of the year.
