Treaty of Saint Louis

The Sac and Fox tribes gave up lands to the United Sates from the Northeast Missouri, through almost all of Illonios, north of the Illonois River, as well as a large section of Southern Wesconsin.

Congress passes the Embargo Act

1807

This law stopped all trade between America and other countries.

Non-Intercourse Act

1809

It overthrew the Embargo Act. It said that America and Britain cannot trade.

Britain and America sign the Treaty of Ghent

This treaty ended the war of 1812. The treaty gave back all land, prisoners, and boats.
