Alfred Binet revises his IQ test.

1911

Includes mental age

Lewis Terman begins to use IQ tests to sort army recruits.

1916

Terman thinks most army members are feeble minded.

1919

This has to do with their low level of schooling,

Charles Spearmen develops the thoery of general intelligence, or g.

1927

All parts of intelligence are linked to one another.

Mensa International is formed for the top 2% of the population.

1946

Formed by Roland Berrill and Dr. Lance Ware in England

Congress passes the Children with Specific Learning Disabilities Act.

1969

Intended to support programs that helped children with learning disabilties.

Howard Gardner identifies the nine aspects of intelligence.

1983

These are: musical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, existential, linguistic, naturalist, and logical-mathematical.
