As the Allies were losing the battle of france on the western front french and british troops were forced to retreat from Dunkirk. While the troops waited for evacuation German dive bombers were orderd while the army that surrounded them were ordered to move toawrds Paris to help the war effort, the dive bombers were to sink and destroy any ships trying to evacuate the Allies, this attempt was inferior as German dive bombers were not very accurate and the RAF shot down any dive bombers they could find. This battle was significant cause over a million troops were trapped at dunkirk and if Germany were to win the battle of Dunkirk the british would have likley fell during the battle of Britan

This Battle was when Germany Bombed Great Britain in order to try and destroy their RAF (Royal Air Force) and prepare for invasion. Britain was able to defend their homeland and was a formidable opponent. By the end of the battle Britain lost 1,000 airships and Germany had lost 1,800. this battle showed that the war was not going to be as easy as Hitler anticipated.

One of the reasons Operation Barbarossa was significant/important in World War 2 when Adolf Hitler had a surprise attack on the USSR it had caused a great defeat due to that attack covered the largest area, although Operation Barbarossa did not overthrow them completely it set the enemies 600 miles to the outskirts of Leningrad and Moscow which gave the Red Army time to re build.

The battle of Moscow was believed to be one of the most important Battles of WW2. This was defence of the Soviets captial by Russians. German forces were very close to capturing the Russian capital but with no consideration of the Russian winter. None of the German forces were equiped with winter equipment this meant that the Russians were. Once winter came the Germans had no hope they were defeted and pushed away from Moscow.

The attack of Pearl Harbor was short and very one sided. The attack only lasted 90 minutes but without a doubt was a major one due to 6 aircraft carriers with more than 400 planes attacked the main American naval base. This was the battle that forced America into the war this was also an absoulute embaressment for the USA as Japan was known as a "futile" nation and they managed to travel 12 days from Japan undidected by the Americans.
