The Proclamation of 1763 kept American colonist from settling West of the Appalachia. This was issued by Britain after they won the Seven years' war which is what gave the Britain's so much land. The colonist themselves loathed the law in which made them break it for resources needed. In order to get good farm land some colonist would break the Proclamation. The boundaries from the Proclamation became Americas cornerstone for Indian law from the Untied states to Canada All in all the Proclamation failed by the American Revolution.

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that happened on December 16, 1763 at Griffins Wharf, in Boston, Massachusetts. This was also the result of the kings "Taxation without representation" so the protesters threw 342 chests of tea imported by British East India Company. In todays money that's over a million dollars in tea thrown into the ocean. This put Britain in more debt as they were already in a lot of financial trouble. Further more, the Parliament passed a series of acts within the colonies this is knows as the Intolerable Acts.

In 1764 the government raised prices on taxed goods such as sugar, coffee, molasses, silk, wine, pimento, indigo, and cloth. This was idea was given by Prime Minister George Grenville. The Sugar Act also known as Plantation or Revenue act, its purpose was to increase revenue for the debt created by the war from the Britain Empire. Having the Sugar Act in process also put some enforcement in smuggling in and out of Britain. Due to protest tax was, in the end, dropped two years later.

The Stamp Act imposed all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. This Act was passed by the British Parliament, the cost to put the law into place was not much. With the money collected the expenses for the defense of the American frontier which was near the Appalachian Mountains. Furthermore, The expenses also covered the finances from the Seven Years' war. When it was put into effect, the colonists ignored it and instead boycotted British goods.

The Quartering Act was an act in 1765, requiring the American people to open up their home and feed any British soldier for as long as they needed. The main reason The Quartering Act was past to cover the cost of the French and Indian war. The law itself was mainly resented around the New York area in which the largest number of reserves were quartered. Citizens felt that their Bill of right was violated causing anger and violence.

The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot that happened on March 5, 1770. Stones, sticks, and even snow balls were thrown within the duration of the riots. A few colonist were killed which further increased the unwelcome the colonist has for Britain and its soldiers. The altercation started because the king was giving the people more taxes to pay without representation. As a fight between the American colonist and a lone British soldier began it then resulted in a bloody slaughter. A town meeting was called in which they demanded the removal of British soldiers.

The Gaspee incident, also known as the Gaspee affair, was an event that occurred to show the severity of the crisis they were in. Britain started to detain and confiscate cargo ships without charge and without reason. This occurred mostly to members of the Sons of Liberty. But, on the night of June 9, 1772, a local vessel led Lieutenant William Duddington to the shallow waters. Later the Gaspee was looted and burned. Although they lost their ship and goods no one was arrested.

The event Committee of Correspondence influenced the First Continental Congress. American colonies used the Committee of Correspondence to maintain communication during the Revolutionary War. The earliest form of the Committee of Correspondence was in 1764, this took place in Boston. With that, the following year New York came up with a similar system to keep their colonies notified. The colonies remained notified of its resistance to the Stamp act such.

The Coercive/Intolerable Acts were 4 different acts passed by parliament in 1774. These four acts were the Boston Port Bill, witch closed Boston Harbor. The Massachusetts Government Act, which made military governors stronger by replacing the local government with an appointive one. The Administration of Justice Act, which made it possible for people from Britain that have capital charges to be tried in England or another colony. And the Quartering act, which allowed British troops to live at any house in the colony. These Coercive/Intolerable Acts caused a part of the Revolutionary war because it was Britain's way of acting out over the damage the Boston Tea Party caused.

The First Continental Congress was held September 5, 1774 in Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia. 13 delegates from each colony except Georgia to organize the colony's resistance among the Coercive/Intolerable Acts. The First Continental Congress led to the Revolutionary War because they compacted with the colonies to boycott all the British goods.
