On Animal Farm, Napoleon took over after Snowball vacated his position of leader
Like in Animal Farm North Korea had freedom limitations. Basic freedoms were taken away from them. People were unable to leave the country. The North Korean media also limits what they see on the internet so, they are not as knowledgeable.

When Mr. Jones was in charge the animals were even more limited than when Napoleon was in charge. The animals were forced to work under Napoleon with nothing in return. There no question of authority. (Orwell 40)
In North Korea they hold fear over the citizens and restrain their actions in society.

After Snowballs experience the animals are struck with fear of the same thing happening to them. (Orwell 93)
In North Korea citizens are brainwashed to think that Kim Jong Un is the best leader. They also think that everyone else in the world believes the same thing as them.

All the animals in Animal Farm are brain washed too because they all think Napoleon is the best leader. However, they don't realize that the leadership style is very communist.
North Korean leaders are the only people in Korea that get contact to the outside world.

In Animal Farm, Napoleon and the other lead pigs get to communicate with the humans and be part of the outside and the other animals aren't allowed to have contact with them. (Orwell 135)
In Korea executions and violence were common. Execution would take place if you ever spoke out against religion or even hoarding food. Like animals farm the wanted to strike fear into the public.

Napoleon struck fear into the animals that is how he kept his power. He cut food short to the other animals. However, the other pigs would feast on food. He also changed the commandment to " No animal should kill without cause" (Orwell 91).
Kim Jong II's dictatorship, took advantage of the general society. Kim Jong II's used military weapons and supplies for personal use, such as kidnapping women

Napolean uses his status to gain more power than other animals. He alters the commandments to fit his needs. For example, when he changedthe commandment "No animal shall sleep in a bed" to "No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets" (Orwell 67)
The media in North Korea is constantly censored anything that shows a sign of freedom is immediatly banned. Similar to Animal Farm propoganda was used in North Korea to create enemies by accusing them of crazy things.

Propoganda was another reason Napoleon was able to stay in power. Squealer Napoleons "minion" would trick the animals into thinking something that wasn't true. When the commandments kept getting altered squealer would just keep saying that they've always been like that.
Kim Jong Un killed his own uncle because they were in disagreement of how the government should be ran.

I Animal Farm the dogs chase after snowball after Napoleon orders them to. (Orwell 66). Napoleon ordered the dogs to chase after Snowball because he was going against Napoleon.----
To prevent North Korean citizens to finding the corrupt ways of Kim Jong Un, the government banned many things on the internet. This allows them to spread more propoganda.

The animals lacked knowledge and so uneducated so they were unaware of their education. The animals always blindly agreed with Napoleon and Squealer.
