The entire existence of the Lions Den is: The Run. The massive pit, as it goes down, gradually coming to a point with fewer and fewer cells as it gets closer to the bottom. The cells at the bottom are less of those of a prison and more of a palace. But this not because of their low numbers, but because there, The Run is longer, and more dangerous. While at the top, the slums that make up the top ten levels are some of the dangerous places in the continent, with its inhabitants being the kind of people they are. The Run itself consist of a single prisoner on a specific day, chosen at random, having to fight from their cell, on the floor they chose, to the front gates, and freedom. The levels get more dangerous the low you go, but longer the higher you go, you will get more rest and preparation the lower you go, but will you live long enough to use it once The Run starts? Martin makes the run alone, but doesn't see it all the way through, as an old friend breaks in half way through, leading a group of tribels that have helped him along the way. Earnest Cole, guns blazing, rescues Martin before his planned death. Escaping into the jungle, they hide in the outskirts, working up their forces before they can attack, and rescue Arca and Lee. Lazlo's whereabouts were unknown.
