Hope's Mother and Father got divorced. A man Glenn and Hope's Mother met on a boat on the Columbia River. Later on in March 1989, they were married on the same river they met.
April 5, 2000 was Hope's first game she started in for the Women's National Team. It was against Iceland at Davidson College in North Carolina.

Hope left her Swedish team and went back to the United States for the Olympic residence camp in California. April was now finalizing her roster for the Athens Olympics and Hope wanted to be on it. Hope didn't make it and also April had not seen her play since 2002.
