The Western Split causes the Pope to flee Rome and reside in Avignon.
Got going in Turkey and Sicily in 1347, kept going up into N Europe through 1353. Usually took about three years to really chew through an area.
Theodora (mater Aeliana) active at Transylvanian Tribunal
Sipara (Aeliana) testifies at Thebes tribunal.
Tacita and Aeliana are together at some Tribunal or other.
Not-yet-Gauntleted Aeliana and Pyrrhus go investigate a meddling Spring maga. They find more than anyone expected, and Pyrrhus got to fight diabolic forces and Aeliana got to give one hell of a testimony.
Tribunal cancelled due to threat of demon and disease. Aeliana does her best to help adjudicate issues via letter.
Durenmar is almost empty. Where last Grant Tribunal hosted more than one hundred magi, now there are but a dozen. No preparations have been made for the great gathering.
Muscaria receives Theodora, a Guernicus legal advisor who brings her apprentice Sipara (Aeliana) with her.
Born in Split, a major port in the Kingdom of Dalmatia, which would one day become Croatia (Transylvanian Tribunal). Her parentage is a mystery, she was not gently gifted and was left as an infant in the Cathedral of St. Dominus. She is named Sipara and given to an orphanage to raise, much to everyone's dismay.
Theodora of Salonika sails from Magvillus into Split on her way to the Tribunal in Transylvania, discovers Sipara and pays a Redcap to take her back to her home covenant Cavala in Greece (Thebes). There a wet nurse is found and Sipara is raised among the grogs. Theodora begins gently, teaching her Greek and Latin, reading to her, and giving her toys to teach her, but resolves not to begin her formal apprenticeship until she can read and write basic sentences.
Ordelfo of Bonisagus visits Cavala, and learns of a gifted child too young to be apprenticed. While he fails to trick Sipara into accepting his offer for apprenticeship, he succeeds in exercizing his right to claim her regardless, and takes her to his covenant.
Three mages declare Wizard's War on Ordelfo at once, invade his Sanctum, and kill him. One, Sophia Ferra, speaks to Sipara gently enough to get her to point to Ordelfo's chest as the most important thing in the sanctum (it was bigger on the inside). Sophia claims the chest and Sipara, but she and her amicii soon fall into squabbling over the spoils, and she is killed. Sipara ends up in the keeping of Sophia's paren, and giving testimony to a Quaesitor in preparation of the next Tribunal.
Speaking as a witness at a Tribunal, despite being only 8, Sipara's clear testimony in the trial of Sophia Ferra's death is key in resolving the matter in the favor of Sophia's paren. This and her ability to remember Theodora result in Sipara being returned to the Guernicus - or so they told her, though it was clear that there were some significant favors or deals being made. Ultimately she found herself back in Theodora's care, to her great relief and gratitude.
As part of recovery (and vetting for long-lasting mental and spiritual damage), stays at Sase Monastary. Meets the Abbot's apprentice (Steve) and discovers someone breaking the law there.
After an initial response of "....why is this happening", was very happy to participate in riddles and puzzles and establish a friendship.
In season before Tribunal meeting, sent to investigate claims of a Spring magus interfering with mortals. Is given a "hoplite" - a Tremere apprentice (Isaac), to assist. They discover that the Spring magus had made an infernal pact and both suddenly understood the value of the Quaesitor/Hoplite relationship.
Fumes as her mater refuses to Gauntlet her until Theodora is satisfied, even though in her own mind she was ready well before the 1342 Tribunal. Is Aggressively Perfect in the meantime. She takes the name Aeliana after the great orator Claudius Aelianus.
Tribunals across the order cancelled due to threat of disease and demons! Aeliana is accepted as living at Magvillus, though her citizenship in Rome isn't official without Tribunal.
Aeliana's petition to join Magvillus is granted, though citizenship in Rome is technically still provisional until ratified at a Tribunal.
After the retaking of Magvillus, Aeliana and Pyrrhus agree to have a child together, marry and seal their Quaesitor/Hoplite arrangement.
Has a daughter from Pyrrhus.
In season before Tribunal meeting, sent along with a "Quaesitor" - a Guernicus apprentice (Abby) - to investigate claims of a Spring magus interfering with mortals. They discover that the Spring magus had made an infernal pact and both suddenly understood the value of the Quaesitor/Hoplite relationship.
