Prince Henry the Navigator

03/04/1394 - 11/13/1460

Henry the navigator was born in 1394. He became an important figure in the early days of the portuguese empire. He was responsible for the early development of european exploration and maritime trade with other continents. He soon died in 1460.

Portuguese Empire

1450 - 2002

The empire spread throughout the vast number of territories with are now 43 different states. Portugal was joined to Habsburg Spain in the Iberian Union. Portuguese and Spanish power began to decline to the benefit of the Dutch, British,and French colonial powers.

Spanish Empire

1492 - 1892

The Spanish Empire compromised territories and colonies administered by the Spanish Crown in Europe,the Americas,Africa,Asia,and Oceania. It originated during the age of exploration, it was one of the first empires.

British Empire

1556 - 1997

The British Empire was a worldwide system of dependencies to crown Great Britain. The British Empire was the largest in the world. In the second half of the century the empire took control of New Zealand.

Toussaint L'Ouverture

05/20/1743 - 04/07/1803

Toussaint L'Ouverture was born on May 20,1743. He began his military career as a leader of the 1791 slave revolt. This revolt helped Haiti become an independent nation.

Miguel Hidalgo

05/08/1753 - 07/30/1811

Miguel Hidalgo was born on May 8,1753. He served as a priest in Mexico. He was shocked by the poverty and tried to show the poor how to farm. Miguel gathered over 90,000 farmers and poor mexico civilians, is army was poorly trained and armed. Miguel was executed by a firing squad on July 30,1811.

Simon Bolivar

July 24, 1783 - December 17, 1830

Simon Bolivar was born on July 24,1783. He was in office from 1819 to 1830. He was a military and political leader. He played a key role in the spanish empire. During his lifetime he led Venezuela, colombia, Ecuador, Bolvia, and Peru to independence.

Light Bulb


An incandes light globe is an electric light which produces light whit a filament wire. The light bulb was invented by Thomas Edison and he changed the history forever.



Is a transparent,petroleum-delivered liquid traits is used primarily as a fuel in internal combustion. Gasoline was invented to help machines run on gasoline to help them go.

Eiffel Tower


Isan Iron lattice Tower located on the Champ De Mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer gustave company whose designed and built the tower.



Also known as acetylsalicylic acid or asa and the medical use of it and related substances.

First Flight


First Flight was first flown by the Wright Brothers who wanted to be the first people to ever set foot into the air and actually fly.

Treaty of Versailles

1914 - 1919

June 28,1919 The treaty of versailles was about PEACE TREATY FOR GERMANY AND U.S.A.


1917 - 1927

A former federal union of 15 constituent republics, in Europe and W and N Asia, comprising the larger part of the former Russian Empire: dissolved in December 1991.

Rise of Nazism

1919 - 1920

Was swift and far from certains support for Hitler and his nazi and his Nazi Party.

Stalin becomes leader of Russia

1929 - 1953

A dictator of the union of soviet union was transformed from 1929 to 1954.

The Great Depression

1929 - 1942

August of 1929
The great depression was a world wide depression.
where citizens of the united states lost their jobs,homes,and money. The great depression was a very difficult time for citizens.


1933 - 1945

The Holocaust was a mass murder of approximately six million Jews during WW2. It was sponsored by Nazi Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, and the Nazi Party. The Jews were either killed right away or were sent to concentration camps.

Iron Curtain

1945 - 1991

Separated area from the area of ww1 in 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991.

European Union


The eu is a unification of 27 members states united to create on political and economic community throughout europe.

Berlin Wall

1945 - 1991

Was a barrier constructed by the german democratic republic. Starting on bagust 1961, that completely cut off.

Cuban Missile Crisis

1961 - 1968

Known as the October Crisis or the Misle Score in Cuba and the Caribbean Crisis was a 13th day confrontation.

Chernobyl Disaster

1986 - 2000

Chernobyl was a powerplant that blew up in Ukraine. The radioactive particles were to high for people to live at. If the children were born at this time then they had either birth defects, cancer , heart problems, etc.

Zapatista Movement


Since 1994, the group has been declared war against the mexican state. Although this war has been primarily defensive against military, paramilitary, and corporate.



The north american free trade agreement was establish in 1995. the agreement was signed by canada the united states,and mexico. NAFTA was created to stop embargos,tariffs,and,quotas.


World War 1

1914 - 1918

WWI was a global war that killed over 9 million people. The war drew in all the the worlds economic great powers. Even though their was several reasons for the war the main trigger was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

Russian Revolution

1917 - 1923

In 1917,two revolution swept through russia ending centuries of imperial rule and setting in motion political and social change that would lead to the formation of the soviet union.

World War 2

1939 - 1945

Like ww1, world war 2 was also a global war.ww2 lasted from 1939 to 1945.although their was some conflict in Asia, it really just involved the two worlds nations, the allies and the axis.

Cold War

1947 - 1991

The Cold War was a sustained state of political and military tension between two powers, the Western Bloc (the US with NATO) and the Eastern Bloc (Soviet Union and its allies in the Warsaw Pact).

Cuban Revolution

1953 - 1959

The Cuban Revolution was an armed revolt led by Fidel Castro. It reshaped Cuba's relations with the United States. Castro's government began a program of nationalization and political that transformed Cuba's economy and sociality.

Vietnam War

1954 - 1975

The Vietnam War was a fight between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. North Vietnam was supported by the Soviet Union and South Vietnam was supported by the United States.
