Declaration of Independence

The United States Declaration of Independence is a statement adopted by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain were now independent states, and thus no longer a part of the British Empire.

Angered peasants


The peasants of France were mad because of the high unfair taxes and poor harvesting.

The Estates general


Louis XVI called Estates-General to a meeting in Versailles to approve a tax plan.

All Feudal Privellages Ended


The National Assembly announced the end of feudalism and serfdom in France.

Fall of the Bastille


Mob attacked the prison, killed the govenor, released the prisoners; symbolic destruction of it was important rallying point that represented the bringing down of authority.
