Appointed as Wheat Experimentalist for the NSW Department of Agriculture

Farrer named his wheat 'Federation'

1901

The group which Farrer named 'Federation' contained the cross breeding of the Fifi an Indian wheat, Yandilla and purple straw. They are types of wheat.
