Review goals set during the first week. Make/Adjust plans to reach goals in desired time. Each participant should have a chance to share successes since joining the program.
Each morning 30 minute community meeting to discuss daily choices positive and negative as it relates to character. Display character definitions as created by participants. Each week a new theme/area of focus.
Define Respect, gratitude, self restraint, responsibility and community. For each concept: discussion and definition (what it looks like), role play, read articles/texts on character and complete reflective exercises. Given scenarios discuss appropriate and inappropriate choices.
Consider options for community building activities. Review the benefits of helping others. Select group project for participation. On or off site activity, create or gather items to be donated. Group discussion on Empathy, compassion. Reflection on assistance received in the past.

Week 1 - Nutrition and Eating Habits
Week 2 - Weight Management and Exercise
Week 3 - Healthy Lifestyle to avoid weight issues
Each week - group lunch to role play eating etiquette, place settings
Creating a budget, living within means, banking options, credit cards, bank loans, credit ratings, rental applications
Each week there is to be a demonstration of a form of exercise via live demo or video class. Beyond demonstration, one hour per day three days per week is to be allotted for exercise. Benefits of exercise are to be examined during first few weeks. Physical goals are to be set during the first week.
1- 1 1/2 week exploration of basic level crafts to be created as a class. Followed by advanced level projects based on student choice. Projects to be based on skills listed in curriculum or as determined by participants.
Confidence and team building activities. Concentration on recognizing behaviors and habits of well working teams and confident persons.
Evaluation of base level computer literacy.
Obtaining applications online, completing applications, writing cover letter, posting resumes online (at least 3 sites)
General overview: Definition and purpose of communication at home, in the street, in the workplace interview skills, company event......review scenarios, role play, view videos on communication skills. Include social media, email etiquette
Basic skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Student selected performance assessment in at least two software programs. Powerpoint - presentation on self selected topic
Excel - Create searchable data list of area apartments
Word - Essay on self selected topic
How to give full attention in various situations. At meetings, presentations, parties, one on one discussion. Tone, posture, word choice. giving/receiving compliments.
Review religions via literature. Methods of meditation, benefits of journaling
This unit is delayed in order to first build up skills to encourage student confidence.
