William Blake is born!

At 28 Broad St., Soho, London. As the third child of seven siblings. Baptized at St James' Church

Apprenticed to engraver James Basire

08/04/1772 - 08/04/1779

For a term of 7 years. Blake had great interest in engraving from this age. After the end of his term, Blake became a professional engraver.

Attends Royal Academy

10/08/1779 - 10/08/1785

He was a rebel at this school, arguing about the styles of art.

Marries Catherine Boucher

08/18/1782

In St. Mary's Church. She was illiterate.

Their daughter is born (date unknown)

1795

Thel, their first and last child is born. Conceived that she died at early age.

Moves to Felpham, Sussex

1800

Lives in a cottage for 4 years, where Blake produced many artwork.
