Peter Thiel invests $500,00 into the company. The creator of Napster, Sean Parker becomes the new president for the company.

Facebook is sued

September 2004

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss sue Mark Zuckerberg, saying he stole the idea of facebook from them. The lawsuits would be eventually dropped in 2011.

Facebook rejects an offer of $75 million from media giant Viacom.
