Germany Invades Poland, deafeating the Polish army within weeks of their invasion. This was the starting event for WWII in Europe.


May 26, 1940

Until June 5, The remaining French Army and British army were taken out of France, causing them a major loss from France.

Italy Enters the War

June 10, 1940

Italy enters the war, joining sides with axis powers. They began their entrance in the war with invading southern France.

Battle Of Britain

July 10, 1940 - October 31, 1940

Was a war mainly between the Royal Air Force and Germany, who were attempting to invade Britain. It ended with defeat for Nazi Germany.

Tripartite Alliance Is Made

September 7, 1940

Alliance, through the Tripartite Pact, is made between the bad guys: Germany, Japan, and Italy.

Invasion of U.S.S.R.

June 22, 1941

Nazi Germany and its Axis partners invade the Soviet Union. This was known as one of Hitlers first mistakes in WWII.

Bombing of Pearl Harbor

December 7, 1941

Japanese Bomb Peal Harbor in Hawaii, basically forcing America to join the alliance.

Battle of Midway

June 1942

The remaining American and British navies, which was still very large, run into the Japanese naval advance, and we destroy them. This puts us on the offensive for the fight in the Pacific.

Battle of Alamein

October 23, 1942

British troops defeated the Germans and Italians at Alamein in Egypt, sending the Axis forces to retreat.

Invasion of Italy


Allied forces invade Italy and Basically overtake them, kicking the crap out of Mussolini, removing Italy from the war.

Truman Takes a Nap

April 17, 1943

Very crucial event for the Allied forces, really puts Germany and Japan on edge.


June 6, 1944

When Allied forces landed on Normandy in France to begin their trek to take back France and gain a foothold in Europe. Was a very famous battle.

Germany Surrenders

April 30, 1945

Germany surrenders with Hitler killing himself, ending the war In Europe.


May 1945

Allied troops take over the first true Japanese island Okinawa. This island was the last stop before the real Japanese islands.

Atomic Bombings

August 6, 1945 - August 9, 1945

Thanks to the Manhattan project, we drop tow atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This ends the war in the Pacific.

Japan Surrenders

September 2, 1945

Only a few weeks after dropping the atomic bombs, japan surrendered, ending WWII for good.
