in 1970 the amount of computers on the network grew from 4 to 13

The Internet continues to grow

The next year the number went from 13 computers on the network to 23.

1977

It was not until 1977 that there were finally 100 computers on the network.

This was the magical year that across the entire world there finally was 1000 computers on the network.

In this year the 10,000 computers on the network barrier was broken.

1989

During this year computers were starting to become available for households in America, so the number jumped from 10,000 computers on network to 100,000 computers on the network.

And LARGER

1992

During this year over a million computers were connected to the internet, breaking a new milestone in its advancement.

By this year there was now over 10,000,000 computers on the network or Internet.

By 2001 there was over 100,000,000 computers on the internet.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee during this time period invented the WWW that we use as a cover for the foundation of the internet were all virtual texts are linked together and available for access by anyone.
