This was Russia's last emperor or czar. He led Russia to a mess. For example, The Russian revolution was the cause of Nicholas II because his lack of leadership and him not trying to reform Russia, rather trying to keep czarist absolutism. After this to gain the respect from the public he made promises of reform and created the "Duma" which was a representative assembly. When he led them to another war - WWI, this was vey scary for Russians because food became very low supply. And there were many deaths of the army soldiers. Nicholas II tried to give the throne to his brother Michael but he refused to take the throne which led to the end of the czarist autocracy and the reign of Nicholas II.
