I was my parents only child until my little brother Mitch came along. I got all of their attention before he was born, and after I had to learn to share the attention.
I played soccer from the age of 4 to the age of 17. I met a majority of my friends through this sport and it took up a lot of my time through the years (but I loved it)!
I danced starting at age four till age 9, but I wanted to try gymnastics. I didn't really like it because it took away time that I wanted to spend with my neighborhood friends. I am glad I tried it though.
My best friend and neighbor Aubrey moved 3 hours away. Before she moved we did everything together. She moved right before middle school so it was scary to go into a new situation without my best friend. We still get together once of twice a year, and nothing has changed!
It was a super exciting time for me to get my license. I felt so much more freedom and I love to drive.
We only moved three houses away from our previous house, but we just wanted more space and an "upgrade." My new house has a workout space which I use daily and a big basement for my brother and I to have friends over.
Ryan and I have been good friends since middle school and then it turned into dating. He is the person I spend the most time with by far. He was also with me when I tore my ACL and has been very supportive in getting me back to "normal"!!
My grandma was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away in January of 2020. She was only supposed to live a few weeks to a month and she ended up living 9 months. She moved in with us when she was first diagnosed which was super hard on my brother and I. We watched her decline month by month. She is missed but we are so glad she's at peace!
Tearing my ACL has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through both physically and mentally. It took away my ability to play soccer and exercise, which are both a huge part of who I am. I am finally recovering, but my knee is still healing and I am working hard to get back to my pre-injury self!
Physical therapy has been very helpful in keeping me accountable to getting better from my injury! It also gave me insight to my future career. I would love to go into the physical therapy field or some sort of orthopedic surgery. That is my goal and my injury and PT has been a huge part of that.
