After the death of Moses, Joshua became the new leader of the Israelites. He led them into the Promise Land and in many great conquests. They took the cities of Jacraco, Ai, Hazor, and conquered the nations of Jerusalem, hebron, jarmuth, Lachish, Eglon, Geezer, Debir, Geder, hormah, Arad, Libnah, Adullam, Makkedah, Bethel, Tappuah, Hepher, Aphek, lasharon, Madon, Shimron Meron, Acshaph, Taanach, Megiddo, kedesh, Jokneam, Dor, Goyim in Gigal Tirzah. His conquest started by dividing the land north from south in order to spilt the opposing armies. It was in this time that many more miracles were seen such as the walls of Jericho falling down. One interesting fact out this is that the burn layers in the archeological dig of Jericho indicate that things like baskets of wheat and idols were destroyed around this time. What makes this important is that any Eygption pharaoh or other king campaigning around this time would have burned the city but taken the treasures. Only Joshua would have destroyed everything. A second fact is that near Jericho under ground are catacombs with bodies in them, however, these body are not decomposed nearly to the extent that they should be. The reason this is is that the air in the tombs was force out my methane coming from the earth. For the earth to release that amount of methane, it normally require a power event such as an earth quake. This leaves us to wonder if that could have been Joshua.
