James Gatz was born in North Dakota to a poor farm family, we know this as the family's been explained as such and in 1907 he was 17 when he first meets Dan Cody.
In the age of 16 James Gatz writes a schedule, to improve himself to be successful. This would be what motivates him to start changing his life.
December 18, 1906 - January 1, 1907
Before Gatz aimed for higher, he attends to a college, St. Olaf in Minnesota and worked as a janitor to pay for his tuition. After 2 weeks, he didn't want the humiliation and left.
A Name Change
To start on changing and improving his life, he started out by giving himself a name that'll fit the lifestyle that he wants. Jay Gatsby.
1907 - 1912
In 1907, James runs away from home and meets a wealthy man by the name of Dan Cody who took James under his wing and would for the remaining time teach how to achieve higher in his life and how to be successful.
Dan Cody dies
When Dan Cody dies, he leaves Gatsby with more knowledge on how he can get the life that he's always wanted.
After Dan Cody dies he tries to give Gatsby 25,000 dollars but sadly couldn't claim it as a woman in Dan's life stole it from him.
When he was stationed in Louisville, Kentucky; he went out with other officers who came by a luxurious house and met Daisy.
1917 - January 31, 1917
When he was stationed in Louisville, Kentucky; he went out with other officers who came by a luxurious house and met Daisy. They fall in love within the month after meeting until Gatsby ships out to fight in WW1.
February 1917 - 1919
After being shipped out he would write and receive letters from Daisy to keep their love alive, until Daisy was supposed to marry Tom Buchanan while Gatsby was still out in battle. Gatsby was promoted to Major and gets several medals.
1919 - May 31, 1919
After fighting in the war, he spent five months studying in Oxford University
1919 - 1922
After Daisy leaves Gatsby to marry Tom, Gatsby is fully motivated to be a successful wealthy man to be together again with Daisy
June 1 1919
After coming back to his states, in a New York pool room he meets Meyer Wolfsheim. Wolfsheim is able to get Gatsby a job and this becomes the start to the creation of his fortune.
Buying a Mansion
To create a better life Gatsby goes out and buys himself a mansion, this one specifically as Daisy's mansion with Tom is right across the bay so that Gatsby knows how close his dream is coming to reality.
1921 - 1922
Gatsby spending his fortune to throw the biggest parties of New York in hopes that one day Daisy would show up.
When Nick goes to New York he gets invited to one of Gatsby's major parties and meets Jay Gatsby. This will be what leads to him reuniting with Daisy.
Jay Gatsby invites Nick to one of his parties and after getting acquainted with him, he asks Nick if he can help set Daisy up for a reunion.
After Gatsby gets Nick to create a reunion with Daisy, they at first started out awkward but once Nick leaves the house they rejoice in pure innocence and "falls in love" all over again.
Stopping the parties
August 1922 - September 1922
He fires mostly al of his servants and stopped throwing all the big parties because he already got the girl that he was calling out to, meaning that the parties have done their purpose.
August 1922 - August 31, 1922
Reuniting with Daisy had him fall in love again. He then starts to have an affair with her behind Tom's back.
August 31 1922
After Tom gets frustrated knowing that Gatsby is getting fairly close to Daisy, he inserts his dominance by having them switch out cars. This what will cause Myrtle to getting on the road, thinking that the yellow car belongs to Tom after seeing him earlier that day.

When the group all agreed to go out, Tom notices how close Daisy and Gatsby seem to be and this leads up to a fight over the two of them on who really has Daisy's love and loves her back.

Once the fight was over, they learned that Daisy loves them both but can't leave Tom to recreate the past with Gatsby. Tom sends them off together in the yellow car, which would lead up to Myrtle's death
September 1 1922
While driving home with Daisy, Myrtle got to the road where Daisy intentionally turned the car to run over and hurt Myrtle. This resulted in Gatsby with his damaged car and in Myrtle's death. Gatsby taking cover will help at his best for Daisy to not get in trouble with murder.
September 5 1922
After George finds out who owned the yellow car he sets out to kill the man that took his wife away. He shoots Gatsby in the pool with a gun, then shot himself.
September 6 1922
After Gatsby dies, the only person that would be able to take care of his funeral arraignments was Nick. Once Nick tries to contact anyone who has met contact with Gatsby made him realize how all of the people in his life didn't care much for him. Leaving Nick alone with Gatsby.
