While he succeeded his father in 1894, he wasn't crowned until March 2 years later. Military educated he was trained with the skills necessary to rule. He was responsible for modernizing Russia and taking Foreign territories.
Bloody Sunday
January 1, 1904
It started as a peaceful protest by peasant Farmers but turned into a massacre when Russian soldiers panicked at the oncoming crowd of shouting peasants. This event triggered the !905 Revolution. The Russian "Bloody Sunday" is one of many events from around the world with that name.

This revolution was only partially succesful ending with the last czar abdicating the throne. Led by Vladmir Lennin to establish a Marxist government.
Lennin and the October Revolution
November 7, 1917 - November 8, 1917
This revolution occured over the course of a day and saw the death of the abdicated Czar.
