Nicholas II of Russia ruled from May of 1896 to March of 1917. His reign ended due to the fact that he abdicated the throne. He does this to appease the socialist reforming workers.
January 22, 1905
Groups of workers led by Georgy Gapon were involved. Imperial forces fired into the crowd and wounded many. They were marching for rights, and the forces did not like it.

Major cities in Russia, like St. Petersburg and Moscow, were involved. They were overcrowded, yet modernizing like the west. This led to the want to reform and Russian workers protesting against tzars.

The Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente were involved. They were at war, fighting against each other. They were at war because Archduke Franz- Ferdinand was assassinated, militarism, and imperialism.

March 8, 1917 - March 11, 1917
The Russian civilians were involved. They protested in the streets. They did this because Russia was involved in WWI and they were running out of supplies.
Lenin and the Great October Revolution
October 24 1917 - October 25 1917
The Bolsheviks and the Russian citizens were involved. The peasants wanted to take down the tsarist regime. They wanted to do this because the tsar continued to have Russia in the war when they were running out of supplies for the homeland, like food.
The Soviet Union Under Lenin
1922 - 1924
Lenin and the people of Russia were involved. They created a reform to the current government. The Bolsheviks took power and adapted the communist plan to Russia. They did this because the people demanded a government rather than a tzar.
