The first school ever made was Boston Latin School. It allowed only male children and hired only male teachers. This was the start of education.
First School Shooting
July 26, 1764
The first ever school shooting was during the time of Pontiac's Rebellion. It has been labeled the Pontiac 's Rebellion School Massacre. On July 26, 1764, four shooters entered the school, then shot and killed the headmaster, and ten students. Only two students survived. This is a big event in our history because this scared most of the world about education and whether their children were safe.
One of the First Schools to Desegregate
Oberlin College was one of the first schools to admit African-American male students as well as white male students. This was a big step because this allowed students of different races to have an access to education.
First School to Become Co-ed
Oberlin College was the first school to admit not only men, but women as well. This school admitted African-American students as well as white students two years earlier as well. This act allowed women to have equal educations to men.

Save The Children was founded on this day. Save The Children is an organization that donates some of its funds to education. (22% of funds)
November 16, 1945
UNESCO was founded on this day. It is a very prominent organization and donates a large sum of money to educational purposes.

Today most kids in first-world countries are obtaining a satisfactory education. However, this is still a problem we need to focus on. Our goal is to make an education for every child because no matter where the child comes from, or what their religion is, all kids should receive an education.
