James discovered the neutron, the neutral-charged particles in the nucleus. He was an English physicist, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1935. James's results were essential to the discovery of nuclear fission, and also pivotal to the development of the atomic bomb. Chadwick was knighted in 1945. Apart from the Nobel prize and being knighted, he has had many other awards and has an abundant of theories, experiments, and discoveries under his belt.
