This is the day when it all began. The water service was changed from the Detroit water plant to the local Flint River, and because of this decision things start to change with the water that eventually became a crisis that would affect the citizens of Flint.
After a couple Weeks, people began to complain about the unusual water looking discolored, the tasting, and the smell. This all happened because the city started to use the Flint river for the water source, but things got worse over the next couple of months.

On This day, the city notified citizens of a water boiling advisory which meant that the water may have coli-form bacteria in it, and the advisory expanded after the water was tested positive. After a while Citizens were told to boil their water since it had lead, but it didn't make anything better.

The Detroit water system proposed an offer to reconnect Flint with the Lake Huron water supply renounce a fee of $4 million, but it never fell through because the city declined the offer.

After many months of testing, there has been a discovery of lead in the water supply, and then the city started to use corrosion control. Besides all of this there has been serious health problems that have been happening because of lead in the water that has been causing people to get really sick.
The city of Flint decides to switch back to Lake Huron for its water source, but researchers have documented that the damage has been done, and now there is lead in the water.
December 14, 2015
This is the day where things start to get worse. As a result there was a state of emergency declared because the high toxic levels of lead in people's water, and people started to sick from a disease called Legionnaires' disease which only killed 12 people, but is there a solution to all this?
Six former state workers have been charged for neglecting of how the condition of the water was, and it hasn't been test properly for chemicals in the water from the unkempt lake that the water came from. These people have to take the blame for all of this because they failed to test the water properly, and cause people to become sick from the water they were provided.

On this day there is a lawsuit against the EPA for Flint Citizens that have been impacted by the water crisis, and in March there was a $97 million settlement that it was an agreement that Michigan would replace lead water pipes in Flint, so maybe this might be a solution to all of this.

Even after four years since the change, people are still protesting against the change because it has made people especially children sick due to the toxic lead in the water. This day the free bottled water program has been put to an end, and people were outraged at the decision since people were using it as a replacement for the water in Flint.
