King Louis XVI calls for a meeting between the three estates after a long period of not communicating with them. The first estate consisted of the church, the second estate consisted of the nobles, and the third estate consisted of the peasants and everybody else.

After the Third Estate started thinking the King was going to disband them, they decided to take a oath that says they will not separate until a written constitution was established for France.
Storming of Bastille
July 14, 1789
This was when a lot of angry people of Paris gathered around the Bastille in search of weapons, and to also free the prisoners inside. They did this to defend the National Assembly.
The Rise of Napoleon and Creation of an Empire

Napoleon rose rapidly through the ranks of his military, and all the wins they got. After getting political power in France from the coup d’etat in 1799, he crowned himself emperor in 1804. He was also known for his code which made all men equal under the law.
The Reign of Terror

This is when a lot of people are sentenced to death by execution due to the conflict between two political parties, the Jacobins, and the Girondists. Later on, the leader of the Jacobins, Maximilian becomes the new leader of the Revolution
The Congress of Vienna
November 1814 - June 1815
After the death of Napoleon, an international conference was called to create peace and stability on the European continent. The goal of this congress was to restore old boundaries and to limit the powers so there would be peace.
Napoleon’s Empire Collapses
June 18, 1815
Napoleon’s troops were caught by Prussian and British troops. After two days, Napoleon’s troop surrendered and Napoleon was exiled. When the other countries figured out that Napoleon’s armies were destroyed, they saw this as a weakness and joined Great Britain to destroy the empire
