Lady Jane Grey

July 10, 1553 - July 19, 1553

Edward VI name her as his heir presumptive. Four days after his death, Jane was proclaimed queen. Nine days later, the Privy Council switched allegiance and proclaimed Edward VI's half-sister Mary queen. Jane was executed in 1554 at the age of 16. Many historians do not consider her to be a legitimate monarch.

Married to Mary I. Under terms of a marriage treaty between Philip and Mary, Philip was to enjoy all of Mary's tiles and honors for as long as their marriage lasted.
