First ever collegiate sporting conference formed. Rowing conference with four teams: Harvard, Yale, Brown, and Dartmouth.
Amherst vs. Williams. Amherst won 73-32, used "Boston baseball" rules. 13 men on the field, no foul balls, one out per inning, no gloves were used.
First Intercollegiate Football Game. Rutgers vs. Princeton. More of a soccer type game.
