Russia's time of industrialization was way later than Europe and the United States. They finally industrialized around the 20th century. With the industrialization, it brought political and social changes. Russia's big cities like Moscow and St, Petersburg's population had doubled which many people were overcrowded and didn't have what they all needed to survive. At the end of the 19th century due to the Crimean War, there were many food shortages. Many protests led to Bloody Sunday, which had started because of the Russian Revolution of 1905.
