He caused LOTS of problems. He did not let the people have any representative institution. Killed 200 peaceful protesters who wanted better working conditions and suffrage. in the uprising Duma got more power and was disbanded in a matter of weeks. He then brought them into WW1. His wife had to rule temporarily causing many problems. The Russian people had had enough of this. Revolutions broke out ultimately causing the a Civil War. Czar and his family were ater murdered by the "Reds"

Thousands of people gathered to peacefully ask the Czar to make better working conditions, and ask for suffrage.Czar's guards fired into the crowd killing 200 people. The end result was that the Duma got more power which didn't make Czar happy, and he disbanded them in a matter of weeks.

Food riots, strikes, & protests against war. Duma declares itself a provisional government. They formed Soviets (local councils). Czar Nicholas II steps down, and Lenin & his Bolsheviks return.

Czar Nicholas brought Russia into WW1. The war revealed the ineptitude and arrogance of the country's aristocratic elite. Most peasants had little invested in war. Poorly supplied troops resulted in multiple casualties.

Largest industrial enterprises nationalized, and political police was established. Revolution army created "Red Army". The Bolshevik party was renamed the communist party. He was the leading Marxist revolutionary. He commited to class struggle & the Revolution. He was exiled to Siberia for anti-Czarist protests. He then later fled to Western Europe. He later returns so take lead & implements Socialists reforms.
