Muhammed's birth was a crucial point in Muslim history because Islam was created when Muhammed heard Allah speak to him. If Muhammed had not been born, there would be no Islam today.
Muhammed's mother dies
577 AD
When Muhammed's mother, Aminah bint Wahb, died he went to live with his paternal grandfather. This was when he was age six.
Muhammed marries Khadijah
595 AD
This was an important event in Muhammeds life. He first started working for Khadijah as a caravan agent. Khadijah was amazed by his honesty and character and proposed. They married when Muhammed was 25 and Khadijah was 40.
Had a vision on Mt. Hira
610 AD
This event was important because this is when Muhammed hears the angel Jibril speak to him. Jibril tells him what would become the Qur'an, which is the holy book of Islam. It speaks of the revelation in 53:4-9. It states,
"It is no less than inspiration sent down to him:
He was taught by one Mighty in Power,
Endued with Wisdom: for he appeared (in stately form);
While he was in the highest part of the horizon:
Then he approached and came closer,
And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer;"
Hegira

The Hegira was a very important point in Muslim history because It was when Muhammed and his best friend, Abu Bakr, flee Mecca to Medina because of Arab opposition. It also was called the night flight.
Muhammed marched the Muslim army to Mecca
629 AD
This event was of importance because before, Arabs from Mecca were against the Muslims and forced them out of Mecca during the Hegira. Then, Muhammed and the Muslim army marched back into Mecca with over 10,000 soldiers and the Arabs quickly surrendered.
Muhammed's Death
632 AD
Muhammed's death was also an important point in the Muslim history. The year he died, the four caliphs took over. They included Abu Bakr, his best friend.
