Battle of the somme

allied powers fought the Germans to weaken the army, and relieve soldiers fighting in Verdun. Trench warfare was used, along with chemical warfare.

The Russian civil war was fought between the red army and the white army. The white army was anti-communist, and they fought against the red army, who was pro-communism. The red army overpowered the white army.

The treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919 between Germany and the Allied powers. This ended World War 1.
League of Nations was founded
The League of Nations was created to keep world peace. It was included in the treaty of Versailles and as a result, 63 countries joined.
