Napoleon Bonaparte surrendered and gave french the throne to rule and take over most of the land. he commited many mistakes and that led to the collapse of his empire. He was then sent to St. Helena and died there.
The congress of vienna
November 1814 - June 1815
One of the three goals was to prevent future French aggression. French returned territories gained by Napoleon from 1795 - 1810. Russia extended its powers and received souveranity over Poland and Finland. These were two results from the congress.
