The Roman Empire lasted for 500 year, with a large population which was 50 million people. It is important because the Romans influenced many of the things we use today such as laws.
Christian's Take Charge
Some Christians in the Roman Empire would be persecuted for what they believed in. It is important that Constantine let people practice this religion because now christianity is people's common beliefs.
Taking a step
Emperor Constantine wanted to take a step to change the future of Rome. So he moved his capital 850 miles to the ancient city which was Byzantium. He renamed the city New Rome which turn to Constantinople. This is important because he wanted to change the future for Rome and help people have some where to live.
Justinian went to one of the chariot races in Constantinople with his wife Theodora but he tried to arrest someone from the chariot races but that's how they always act so everyone got upset so there was riots. But Justinian was encouraged to rebuild Constantinople because of his wife.
The Hagia Sophia

The Hagia Sophia is the eastern Orthodox Church in Constantine. This church was based on a set of beliefs that its leaders traced back to Jesus Christ and to work of bishops in early Christian councils.
The East and West Conflict
One disagreements was Iconoclasm which was the first major disagreement concerned religious icons. Also Iconoclasm was when Christians used Jesus, Mary, and saints in worship and prayer but some Christians in the east thought they were wrongly worshiping the icons themselves as if they were divine
Angry barons forced King John to put his seal to the Magna Carta. This is an agreement between the barons and the king. This is important because it would help the barons life a better life and help them with certain things.
Hundred Years War
1337 CE - 1453 CE
The hundred years of war wasn't really hundred years it was really hundred sixteen years that England and France fought. also France and England were fighting over who can control over French lands. This event is important because it impacted some things after the war such as that the professional armies no longer needed to rely on Lords to provide knight, and new technology and weapons made knights and castles useless, and lastly this event made The Rise in Nationalism.
The Black Death
1347 CE - 1361 CE
The Black Death, also known as the Black Plague or The Bubonic Plague, which affected all of Europe. The Black Death took out 1/3 of Europe's population, and this disease was carried by rats from China.
Impact from the Hundred years war
In the hundred years war there was a seventeen year old peasant girl who was inspired the people in all of France to fight for there country. This impacted the hundred years war because she inspired people to fight in the war and that means that they will have more people to help fight for more.
