In an attempt to stop a campaign against him, Napoleon tried to overtake Russia in 1812. He was eventually defeated. At this point, all of Europe was against him. After a while, all the countries captured by Napoleon were uprising against his empire. With the Treaty Of Fontainebleau on April 11th of 1814, Napoleon temporarily lost control of the empire. After a short exile in Elba, Napoleon escaped with a few men, weapons, and a ship. The throne of The First Empire was reclaimed. However, during the Battle Of Waterloo, he was defeated by the Seventh Coalition.
