discovered the atom or proposed the atom stating that atoms can not further split into smaller portions and it stops when it reaches indivisible particles and does not go infinitely
john dalton discovery
1803 A.D - 1844 A.D
john dalton proposed a modern theory of the atom base, that Matter is made up of atoms that are indivisible and indestructible.
jj thomson discovery
1897 A.D. - 1940 A.D.
jj thomson discovered the electron by experimenting with a cathode ray, tube. He demonstrated that cathode rays were negatively charged. In addition, he also studied positively charged particles in neon gas.
ernest rutherford discovery
1911 - 1937
Ernest Rutherford discovered that atoms have a small charged nucleus surrounded by largely empty space, and are circled by tiny electrons, which became known as the Rutherford model of the atom.
niels bohr discovery
1913 - 1962
he proposed a theory for the hydrogen atom based on quantum theory that energy is transferred only in certain well defined quantities. Electrons should move around the nucleus but only in prescribed orbits. When jumping from one orbit to another with lower energy, a light quantum is emitted.
1926 - 1961
erwin schrodinger has discovered the Schrödinger's wave equation. It came as a result of his dissatisfaction with the quantum condition in Bohr's orbit theory and his belief that atomic spectra should really be determined by some kind of eigenvalue problem.
