Hideyoshi commences a second Korean invasion with a standing army of 140.000 soldiers.
Korean naval attack on Busan fails => Korean marine is obliterated
Ming-army stops Japanese march south of Seoul. Several large skirmishes between Seoul and Busan occur at the end of 1597 and the beginning of 1598, but there are no decisive victories for either side.
August 1598 - Hideyoshi dies
September 1598 - Japanese troops are slaughtered during an attempt to retreat
Japan brings many Korean prisoners of war (academics and potters) who help develop Japanese pottery.
1604 - Tokugawa Ieyasu makes peace with the kingdom of Choson
