On the night of Dec. 16, 1773, Boston townsmen disguised as Indians rowed out three ships in the harbor. They dumped the boxes of tea into the bay.
A group of delegates from the 13 colonies (GA was not at the 1st). They spoke for and acted on the behalf of colonists interests.
The British fought MA militia 8 colonists killed and 10 wounded. 15,000 colonists (the Continental Army) surrounded 6,500 British troops they were commanded by Gen. Gage
The Continental Congress approved it on July 4th. It announced the separation of the 13 colonies from Britain.
The colonists defeated the British in NY and won some other battles. The French agreed to help the colonies because of the news of these victories.
This was the final battle of the Revolutionary War. It was fought in VA and the British began peace talks shortly after it was fought.
