Battle of Bunker Hill
British charged up the hill but Americans fired. At the end of the battle, the British won but more than 1000 British troops were wounded or dead.
Lexington and Concord
Redcoats approached Lexington and met 70 minutemen and both sides fired but the British killed 8 minutemen. British burned supplies and tried to flee from the Americans, but once they got to Boston 174 British were wounded and 73 were dead.
Thomas Paine and Common Sense
A pamphlet where Paine called for complete independence and was a greatly influenced opinion.
