This company has actually done so many bad things to indigenous peoples that I think that you could call this a dark spot in Canada's history.
1831 - 1996
Residential schools were in place for over 60 years and have affected thousands of indigenous children in Canada. This is definitely a dark spot in Canada's history.
1885 - 1949
The law of head tax was a law that made it so that all Chinese immigrants had to pay 200$ to the government to be able to immigrate to Canada. this racist law was put in place to make it so that there would be less Chinese people in Canada. This is definitely another dark spot of Canada's history
1941 - 1949
This was the time whether Japanese males were sent to mining camps where they barely got any food and were forced to mine for barely any money. This happen solely because of the bombing at pearl harbor, something that they didn't even do.
