French Financial Crisis

1787 - 1789

The third estate of France was being taxed very harshly , while the nobles and clergy were taxed very little if at all.
This is against what the Declaration of the Rights of Man says because people are treated differently based on their class.

Creation of National Assembly

The storming of Bastille by an angry mob looking for gun powder and weapons, in case the French government tried to take over the third class.

Estates General

People were afraid that the upper estates would try and overthrow the third estate.
