Malala gave her first speech in 2008 at the age of 11 called “How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?”
The Taliban blow up more than 100 girls’ schools in the Swat Valley, and ban girls from going to school after 15 January 2009. Malala started blogging for the British Broadcasting Company Urdu in January 2009 using the Pseudonym ( a fake name), Gul Makai.
Her activism resulted in a nomination for the International Children's Peace Prize in 2011. That same year, she was awarded Pakistan's National Youth Peace Prize.
Malala Got Shot

On October 9, 2012, when 15-year-old Yousafzai was riding a bus with friends on their way home from school, a masked gunman boarded the bus and demanded to know which girl was Yousafzai. She then was shot on the left side of her head.

On July 12, 2013 Malala gave a speech at the United Nation. Her birthday becomes recognized as "Malala Day"
