During this time the Sumerians discovered the potters wheel. This meant they could make jugs, plates, and bowls. Around this time metal workers discovered how to melt metals. Ever since this discovery, the workers began to fashion their weapons.
Making Cities- Indus Valley
Around 2500 B.C, the Indus Valley were building levees to keep water out of the city. The Indus Valley people also made buildings that were connected to each. This made streets maze like. During this time, engineers also made great plumbing and sewage systems.

The quality of the buildings were really bad. They were all ruined by what they think was an earthquake. The buildings weren't discovered until 1970.
The Shang Dynasty
The Shang Dynasty was the first Chinese ruler that left written records. Since they left artifacts, archaeologist uncovered palaces and tombs. This meant much was revealed about Shang Dynasty.
The Hittie Empire
As time passed, The Hittite Empire became a really bad place. They started getting attacked by north invaders. The north invaders burned the Hittite capital city.
The Zhou Empire
The Zhou empire was one of the most calmest places around and very stable. Sadly, during 771 BC, the nomads killed the Zhou monarch. Gladly, the royal family escaped.
The Assyrians were people that were from South West Asia that conquered Egypt. The Kushites fought but unfortunately they had to move South along the Nile. After they were defeated by the Assyrians they moved south to Meroe. This meant Africa, Arabia, and India became more active in trading.
Confucius was China's most influential scholar. He studied and taught history. He was born when there was violence in China. He believed that people should respect and love others.
Liu Bang and Xiang Yu weren't very good friends. In fact, they decided to fight each other. As a result, Liu Bang won and declared his self as the Han Dynasty emperor.
Paper became more used when it was invented. It cost less than silk which is good for those who need something to write on. It also helped the Chinese get an education. The government no longer needed to record on a strip of wood.
