The Need for Change

In 1830's people in the BNA. People started to dislike power to Elite. It was unfair and they wanted change. Professionals and merchants congregate and organized a group to push for changes called the reformers and they wanted Responsible Government.

The Impact of Joseph Howe

Joseph Howe was most politician of the mid-1830s. He was a reformer in Nova Scotia. Joseph Howe broadcast a newspaper called the Novascotian.

1837&1838

The Rebellions in Lower and Upper Canada

1837 - 1838

Rebellion is people turn against the Government in a violent and bad way. Rebellions began and Government started to apprehend people and people can't seize to Government and rebels were defeated by the British Government and second rebellion was they tried but they were defeated by the Government in Lower Canada. Upper Canadian knew British Soldiers but British Soldiers were busy with Lower Canadian's rebellions and Upper Canadian tried their own rebellion. Government organized a reservist but reservist is not professionally soldiers and reservist easily defeated the Rebels.
