Congress passed a tax on American - Made Whiskey in March 1791 to pay off all the Federal Debt . No one didn't support the tax cause they felt the Federal Government had no right to tax them. Soon after people were fighting over the tax in Western Pennsylvania . People we all all refusing to pay the Whiskey tax.

Jay's Treaty would help solve problems between the United States and Britain so it won't led to any wars . This treaty was very unpopular in the United States cause citizens felt like the British wasn't getting punished enough. the British people got payed to damage the American ships . The British also were banded from there forts on the Northwestern parts.

The U.S. came out with victorious after about five years. The Treaty of Greenville gave United States claim of the Native American land in the Northwest Territory .
