January 15, 1929

Marries Coretta Scott.


MLK conducts a bus boycott against segregation.


As a result of the boycott segregation is now illegal.

November 13, 1956

MLK is arrested at his unsuccessful Georgia movement.

April 12, 1963

MLK makes his "I have a Dream Speech" during the Civil Rights march.

August 28, 1963

This march and speech changed the world by getting many people to try and change the world by ending segregation.

MLK is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

December 10, 1964

MLK is assassinated.

April 4, 1968

A national holiday is made to honor MLK and the change he made in the world.
