The eastern woodland Indians were the Native Americans who lived in the south eastern parts of the United States.

The slave trade traded between Europe, America, and Africa.It traded slaves and goods.

The Triangle Trade System

1500 - 1800

The European Empire was in desperate need for supplies, while we needed salves from Africa. We got salves from Africa, then gave supplies to the empire. Then the empire gave things to Africa.

The 13 English Colonies

1607 - 1776

The 13 English Colonies were ruled over by the King of England. Year after year the King were treating the colonies poorly, so finally the colonies revolted. It went into war and the colonies won, and became independent.

Proprietary Colony

1663 - 1729

A type of settlement that favored the British crown.

The Slave Codes gave the slave owners total pore over they're slaves

Yamassee War

1715 - 1717

It was a war between Native American tribs and some British Settlers.

A royal Coloney was ruled by officials that were responsible for that state.

Stono Rebellion

September 9, 1739

The stono rebellion was the largest slave uprising in America, before the American Revolution. It started off as 20 black slaves rebelling. Then turned into may slaves rebelling violently.

French and Indian War

1754 - 1763

It was the final colonial war.

Cherokee War

1758 - 1761

Known as the war with the English.

Rice and Indigo Trade

1763 - 1863

The two most important crops were probably rice and indigo. They made the British a lot of money.

Sugar Act

April 5, 1764

British placed taxes on sugar, wine and other things.

Regulator Movement

1765 - 1771

The regulator movement was a North Carolina uprising.

Stamp Act


This act caused there to be a tax on all documents.

Sons Of Liberty


This group was created to protect the rights of the colonists. They were trying to rebel British taxes.

Tea Act

1773 - 1861

It was an objective to reduce the amount of tea. It was going to help the British get more money, so the colonists would have to buy more tea from England.

It war was also known as the American War of independence; this war was the fight to get freedom from the British.

South Carolina Constitution of 1776

March 26, 1776

It was South Carolina's Constitution. The Provincial Congress of South Carolina approved it.

Declaration Of Independence

It was a document to prove that we were all united and independent from the British. It also was giving us the rights of liberty,life, and pursuit of happiness.

America had only 800 men, while the British had over 2000 troops. It was the British victory.

This was a huge victory for America.

The cotton gin helped the trade of cotton grow incredibly.

The Embargo Act, which lasted from December 1807 to March 1809 effectively distroyed American overseas trade.

This was a war between the United States and the British Empire. So e of the war was at sea between ships.

William T. Sherman

February 8, 1820 - February 14, 1891

Sherman was an American soldier, businessman, and educator. He also served as a general in the union army.

Denmark Vesey Plot

July 14, 1822

The Denmark Vesey Plot was the biggest uprising of slaves. The plan was to kill there owners and liberate Charleston.

Abolishment Movement

1830 - 1870

This movement main goal was too abolish slavery.

Nullification Controversy

November 24, 1832

Jackson rightly regarded this STATES-RIGHTS challenge as so seriously.

Robert Smalls

April 5, 1839 - February 23 ,1915

He was a slave who, during and after the American Civil War, became a ship's pilot, and a sea captain.

Kansas-Nebraska Act


This act created new territories and new settlements in Kansas and Nebraska.

Dred Scott Decision

March 6, 1857

The dred scott decision said that Congress had no power to prohibit slavery in the federal territories

The election of 1860 was the election Abraham Lincoln got elected. This angered the South and the eventually separated.

This battle was at fort Sumter. The confederate fired at this fort for 32 hours straight.

November 3,1861 - November 7, 1861

This was one of the earliest battles in the civil war.

Lincoln’s Assassination

April 14, 1865

Abraham Lincoln was shot during a play in the head by John Wilkes Booth.
