Eastern woodland Indians

100 - 900

They lived east of the Mississippi River in woodlands. They got there food, shelter, clothing, tools, and weapons from the forest around them. They placed there villages by lakes or streams.


1500 - 1700

It's a trade where they trade high valued metals

Triangle Slave Trade

1501 - 1801

It was a triangular trade that went from Europe to Africa then to America. They traded rum for slaves then brought the slaves to America to be sold off.

San Miguel de Gualdape

1526 - 1527

It was a colony established by Allyon with only 600 settlers and 100 horses. The colony lasted only about three months with a severe winter, scarcity of supply's, and a rough relationship with the natives.

Plantation system


The first was made by the spaniard s in the West Indies. Small privately owned plantation plots.

13 English colonies

1607 - 1733

The 13 colonies were Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island. They were the fist places to be found in America.

Rica and Indigo Trade

1680 - 1730

Rice and Indigo were cash crops for South Carolina. Cotton and indigo helped SC get money during the Civil War.

It was when the colony in Jamestown had proprietors instead of being protected by the king and queen.

It was laws that slaves had to go by because they had too many uprisings.

It was a war fought between the Yemassee Indians and the S.C. Colonists.

Royal Colony


It was when the royal family protected S.C colony.

Stono Rebellion


It was on September 9th. It was a uprising from about 60 slaves that killed 20-25 whites before they were captured.

French and Indian War

1754 - 1763

It was a war fought between Great Britain, France, and the Indians.

Cherokee War

1758 - 1761

It was a war between the Cherokees and S.C.

Sugar Act


It was when they taxed sugar and molasses.

Regulator Movement

1765 - 1771

North and South Carolina uprising in which citizens took up arms against corrupt colonial officials.

Stamp Act


You would have to ay a tax for passing an official stamp on a document.

Sons of Liberty


It was a group of people rebelling against the stamp act.

Tea Act


You could only buy tea if it was from a monopoly company.

It was the war were America fought Europe to become a independent country.

It was a battle in the revolutionary war. It was in Camden, SC. It was a huge victory for Great Britain.

It was a win for America and a turning point for the patriots as well.
